Rev. Jeanette Clark McCormick is originally from Minnetonka, MN and attended Hopkins High School. She attended Augsburg College, graduating in 2007 with a BA in Youth and Family Ministry/Urban Studies and a minor in Spanish. She has worked at Lake Wapogasset Lutheran Bible Camp, the Lutheran Volunteer Corp in Southern Minneapolis, and La Conexion (a Latino community center). She attended Luther Seminary, graduating in 2012 with an emphasis in Congregational Mission and Leadership. Her first call was with a young adult program called Marty's Mug, and was a mission developer for a Latino congregation called Pueblo de Dios. In 2015, she married Rev. Cole McCormick. She has enjoyed getting to know people in the community through Love Inc. She is also involved with the school's feeding program, PEO, Shetek Lutheran Ministries, Manos Unidos, Worthington Area Immigration Advocates and the Guadalupe Free Clinic.
Sandy Poppema, Board Vice Chair
Sandy Poppema is retired after 30 years of employment at the Avera Medical Group, Worthington. She is a mother of three children, nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Sandy enjoys volunteering at her church, First Lutheran, Manna Food Pantry, and Love INC. Her favorite things to do are traveling, reading, and spending time with family.

Jon Wendt has been serving as Youth and Family Minister at First Evangelical Lutheran Church since 2013. He obtained a bachelors degree in Elementary Education from Southwest State University in Marshall, MN. He began working as a full-time Youth Director in Houston, Texas, and has earned his Youth and Family certification from Wartburg Seminary in Dubuque, IA. Jon is currently enrolled in the Masters of Divinity program at Wartburg Theological Seminary, and serves as Vicar at Grace Lutheran Church in Round Lake. He is married to Barbara, a science teacher at Worthington High School, and has a son born in 2013. In his free time, Jon enjoys playing his trumpet and sporting events of all kinds.
Greg Wede, Executive Director
Having lived in Worthington since 1994 with his wife Teresa raising five kids, two who are now practicing the art of adulting, Greg Wede came to Love INC of Worthington in March of 2017. He already had spent over two decades working with youth in the community with the Worthington Area YMCA and ISD 518’s Community Education. Greg’s educational background most recently had him studying things Divine with Sioux Falls Seminary. Prior to that he studied Physical Education and Recreation at Northwestern College of Iowa after growing up in Sherburn Minnesota. Greg ultimately chose to become a Jesus Follower while at Boot Camp at Fort Sill in Oklahoma after a lengthy series of events, beginning with chocolate chip cookies which you should ask him about sometime.
Gretchen O'Donnell, Clearinghouse Coordinator
Gretchen O'Donnell came to the Midwest 25 years ago, after growing up in the Pacific Northwest and West Germany. She earned a Masters of Christian Education at Bethel Seminary and worked summers at a Bible camp in northern Minnesota, where she met her husband, Colin. They moved to Worthington for Colin's work at Bedford Industries. They have three children and attend church at Living Waters Covenant. Gretchen does freelance writing for The Globe and has a weekly column, The Disheveled Theologian.
